Fallen Hero US Army PV2 John Michael Marlnee

Leon, KS

US Army Private Second Class John Michael "Mike" Marlnee was killed 05 October 2007 in Nashville, TN.  PV2 Marlnee and his unit had just finished training at Fort Campbell home of the 101st Screaming Eagles which is located in Kentucky and Tennessee and they were in Nashville, Tennessee on a weekend pass.  His death is being treated as a homicide.  PV2 Marlnee was assigned to the 305th Quartermaster, 101st Sustainment Brigade, 92 Fox Trot, 101st Airborne Division, Fort Campbell.  Military Officers and enlisted personnel from Fort Campbell and Fort Riley will be attending.
 
The family has invited the American Legion Riders and Patriot Guard as their guests at the funeral service and the gravesite service.
We extend our sincere condolences to the parents, families, friends, and military.
Please make this mission to show our respect, support this family, and honor this Fallen Soldier.

Bring your water and a snack.  Weather will be in the 70s.  Be prepared for rain.
 
American Legion and Kansas Patriot Guard Bagpiper Charles Liles will provide inspirational music.
 
Final Staging Area El Dorado KS:
0830 hr (8:30AM)  Saturday 13 October 2007   Prospect Baptist Church, 3 miles east of El Dorado, KS at the intersection Hwy 54 & Bluestem Rd.
The Church is on the south side of Hwy 54 and west side of Bluestem Rd.
Triple S Convenience Store is 1/2 mile west of church and has fuel/restrooms/coffee.
 
Riders with motorcycle flag poles will be directed to line up in column of 2's in one area and riders without flag poles in another area.  Watch for directions as you ride into parking lot. We are asking that each motorcycle fly only one flag 3'x5'.  Military Flag protocol will be observed.  Cages will follow the motorcycles.  Sign Fallen Soldiers Flag in Prospect Baptist Church parking lot.

Arrival at Church:
0945 hr (9:45)   Ride in & park in column's of 2's, get big flags from flag truck and line up to stand guard providing avenue of flags to entrance of church and barrier along church as instructed.  Cages park in lot or side of street.
 
Be Prepared for the family to arrive and the arrival of PV2 John Michael Marlnee's body being escorted by the Motorcycle Honor Flag Guard from Carlson Funeral Home, El Dorado, KS.
 
1100 hr (11AM)  Church Service Starts:
 
Graveside Service and Escort to Cemetery following church service:  To be announced at briefing.
