Riders, we have two welcome homes at the Wichita airport tonight.  One is at 1710 (plane arrival time) and the other is at 2220.  If you can make both, you might consider going to dinner after the first one.

When doing Homecomings at the Wichita Airport: 

Line up 2 and 4 wheeled vehicles inside the parking lot west of the airport terminal. 

Allow vehicles to arrive and depart freely. 

DO NOT PARK ON THE SIDE ROAD. 

DO NOT PARK IN PARKING LOT "C"  

We have been instructed by the Chief of Airport Security Police not to block traffic.  They respect what we are doing, and they want to ensure we can continue to welcome soldiers home at the airport without incident.

Welcome Home for Sgt Shawn Smith

Sgt. Shawn Smith,  is returning from Iraq tomorrow ( Sat. 12/23 ) - he will be home for Christmas, then will be going to Kuwait.  Sgt. Smith is the Step-Son of Vice Commander Steve Schowalter.

Family has requested we meet & greet & " Welcome Home" their son at the Wichita Airport.

 

Pre-staging area:  For Derby, Mulvane, Haysville, Rosehill, Douglas, area.

1530 hrs (3:30PM)  Derby QT at 71st & K15

1550 hrs (3:50PM)  Depart to airport

Staging Area at Airport:

1630 hrs (4:30PM) Stage at parking lot west of Wichita Airport Terminal. 

            Move inside to sign flag and prepare welcome home formation.

1710 hrs  (5:10PM) approximate Flight Arrival.

With the Holidays upon us I know it is difficult to work these Homecomings in your schedule, but please attend if you are able.

Welcome Home for Sgt Michael Rylant

US Army Scout Sgt Michael Rylant is returning from 1 year in Iraq.

Sgt Rylant also served 1 year in Bosnia and 1 year in Kuwait.

Sgt. Rylant served with the 172nd Infantry Stryker Brigade, and is now with

1st Infantry Division 1st Squadron 4th Cavalry , the famed 1/4 Cav. (Quarterhorse).

Mike's dad, Sonny Rylant, a friend of MadDaddy and Darkhorse, requested this welcome home.
