 YOUR PRESENCE HAS BEEN REQUESTED

Sgt Scott Robert Turner – You will live in our memories forever

Sgt. Scott Robert Turner was an M1 Armor crewman assigned to the 2nd Battalion, 34th Armor Regiment, 1st Brigade, 1st Infantry Division.  Scott entered the Army in June of 2001. Aside from a three month tour in Korea and a twelve month tour in Iraq, Scott had spent his military career assigned to Fort Riley.

Scott was involved in the training of the Military Transition Teams at Fort Riley.  He was always the comic relief for the group and made sure every soldier was squared away.  Scott’s wife says: “The quote below is one my husband found and loved.  He once said he wanted it framed and hung in our house. It is as follows”:

“Only two defining forces have ever offered to die for you.

Jesus Christ and the American G. I.

One died for your soul, the other died for your freedom."

Keep the Turner family in your prayers
